When I lived in Venezuela, I had the opportunity to create a space that represented my passions and values: a small, cozy shop in the Las Américas shopping mall. I decided to name it with something that, for me, encapsulates beauty, rarity, and spirituality: Padparadscha.

What Does Padparadscha Mean?

The name Padparadscha comes from the Sinhalese language, where it means "lotus flower." It is also the name of an extraordinarily rare sapphire, known for its magical pink and orange hues that resemble the colors of a lotus flower at sunrise.

But this sapphire is not only remarkable for its unique beauty; it also carries deep symbolism. Padparadscha is associated with virtues such as wisdom and sincerity, values I have always held dear in both my life and my projects.

The Symbolism of the Lotus Flower and Its Magical Energy

For many years, I have felt a profound connection to the lotus flower. This universal symbol represents purity, rebirth, and the ability to bloom even in the most adverse conditions. Its message of resilience and transformation has accompanied me through every step of my journey.

This fascination, combined with my love for gemstones, made Padparadscha the perfect name for my shop. It represented not only my passion for all things unique and special but also my desire to share some of that magic and beauty with others.

The Legacy of Padparadscha in my Present

Although the shop in Venezuela no longer exists, its essence lives on in my current projects. When I decided to launch my brand Dailot, I knew I wanted to pay tribute to that chapter of my life and the symbols that have always been meaningful to me.

This is why, when designing Dailot's current logo, it was essential to incorporate the elements that inspire me the most: the colors of the Padparadscha sapphire and the symbol of the lotus flower. The warm, delicate tones of this rare gem, combined with the elegance and strength of the lotus, perfectly capture my creative and personal vision.

Additionally, the name Dailot itself carries a special meaning: it is a combination of my name and the word "lotus," reflecting my personal connection to this symbol of purity, resilience, and spirituality. Each piece I design carries a bit of this story and my commitment to sharing beauty and authenticity.
